Just as you thought that India has finally managed to decode the overseas code they have again gone back to square one. The sight of Team India taking a series lead and then floundering it is not uncommon for an Indian fan .After all the drubbings England victory was thought to be a ‘pie in the sky’. But thanks to some sloppy fielding and umpiring England have managed to breathe again in the series. That straight-forward drop from Jadeja could well be the turning point of the series for Captain Cook. Dhoni has strangely started reading from the wrong script. He completely misread the Southampton wicket which called for the inclusion of two-spinners.
June 13 will decide as to which team will register its name in the history books and the beautiful historic Maracona stadium will be witness to it. It has been a long and enduring World Cup for both Argentina and Germany and both are set to lock horns with each other in a match which has all the ingredients of a classic!! After decimating the Samba boys the Deutsch will be itching to inflict the same misery on their South-American neighbours in what is being dubbed as the battle between ‘team-work’ and ‘individual brilliance’. Germany is a team full of superstars and is a well-oiled unit. (Likes of Klose, Ozil, Shweinsteiger, Lahm, Neuer would send shivers down any oppositions spine).
A lot of water has flown under the bridge for Rajasthan Royals since the start of last season with three of their players getting life-bans for involvement in spot-fixing plus allegations of owners (or enthusiasts?) involved in betting. It is difficult for a team to concentrate on the matters in hand when so much is happening outside and also when the players you trust let you down then you feel for the captain and that too the person of the stature of Rahul Dravid whose image is as clean as a whistle.
The picture for English Cricket looks scarier than the movie ‘Conjuring’ (Football team is not far behind either). Ashes drubbing, World T-20 debacle and the icing on the cake being the series defeat at the hands of the ‘Islanders’. The funniest part is that their best player (KP) is writing columns for an English newspaper (How hilarious!!).
England lost the Ashes…BLAMED KP…England were hammered in the One-dayers and T-20s.. BLAMED KP. Now those 2 initials already being erased from the book of the ECB thanks to Paul Downtown and Cook…Who would they blame for their debacle in the T-20 WC??Who will be the next KP (Scapegoat)….
